Platinum Lab V6B Varitone (for Bass)

Voiced specifically for bass guitar, we have been building these high-quality switches since 2002 and have installed them in countless professional instruments. These are wired using only top-notch components and vintage-style cloth wire. All components are treated with Caig DeoxIT for long-term, trouble-free operation, and all sensitive connections are carefully insulated using heat shrink tubing.

Quality Components & Construction

• "Make Before Break" Switch: We use shorting rotary switches to dramatically minimize the "popping" noise common in cheaper alternatives.
• Bass-Optimized Tones: Every capacitor is hand-selected and voiced specifically to enhance bass frequencies.
• Premium Construction: Built to the same "Platinum Lab" standards as our guitar units, ensuring transparency and reliability.

The V6B provides 5 interesting tonal filters plus a true-bypass position:

• Position 1: True Bypass
• Position 2: Subtle cut of highs - softens up a harsh tone
• Position 3: Midrange cut
• Position 4: More pronounced midrange cut - Great for slapping!
• Position 5: Darker midrange scoop
• Position 6: Darkest tone - Perfect for vintage thump

Compatibility & Installation

Universal Passive Design: Designed for ANY passive bass guitar circuit regardless of make or model. Simple 2-Wire Installation: Just connect the white (hot) wire to your jack or volume pot and the black wire to ground. Knobs: Includes a Chicken Head knob at no extra charge. Fits standard 3/8 inch shafts. Optional Dial Plate: A 1-6 dial plate is available for $10 extra.
