The MTG is a versatile dual-function control that operates as both a standard high-cut tone control and a specialized mid-scoop circuit. This allow you to dramatically expand your guitar's tonal palette without adding active electronics.

The Important Question: What does it sound like?

The dual-functionality provides two distinct modes of operation:

• Switch DOWN (Standard Tone): Functions exactly like a traditional treble-cut tone control.
• Switch UP (The Scoop): Becomes a specialized mid-scoop. As you rotate the knob counterclockwise (towards 0), midrange frequencies are pulled out to emphasize signature "bell-like" Stratocaster tones. Many players find settings between 2 and 3 perfect for "Mark Knopfler" style clean rhythms or achieving an acoustic-like quality.

Compatibility & Installation

• Universal Compatibility: Works on any guitar equipped with passive pickups.
• Simple 2-Wire Installation: Installation is straightforward. You will need a soldering iron to connect the white (hot) wire to your volume pot or output jack and the black (ground) wire to any ground point, typically the back of a pot.
• Fitment Note: Fits standard 3/8" shafts. While it fits most guitars, instruments with exceptionally thick tops (1/4" or more, such as some Les Paul models) may require minor modification.
