Sound Samples
On this page I have shared some sound clips, many of which are cuts from my new CD Voodoo Tone.
I am using my own custom guitars and wiring harnesses on the vast majority of these tracks, so you should be able to get an idea of how things sound.
Note:
No hired guns here, I am playing on all
these cuts!

BRAIN POWER HEAD (© 2006) - Intro/Head from of the opening track from my new CD. This features a Tele with Fralin stock pickups. I hope you enjoy the fierce groove thanks to bassist Tony Senatore and drummer Lou Petto. The tune is impressionistic of Tower of Power and features the phenomenal trumpet playing of Steve Jankowski-along with the masterful saxophone (alto, tenor and baritone) of Tom Timko.Tom takes the 1st solo and it is something special. Steve Jankowski has recorded and toured with Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears and Nile Rodgers to name a few. Tom Timko has toured and recorded with Gloria Estefan, Blood Sweat and Tears, Chicago, Tower of Power and Don Henley to name a few. |

VOODOO
TONE (© 2006) - Intro/Head from the tile track of the CD and is really the only track you would categorize as straight ahead electric jazz heavily influenced by the likes of Mike Stern, John Scofield, and Bill Frisell. In fact, you may notice a vibe quite suggestive of Marc Johnson’s 1987 record “Bass Desires” featuring both Frisell and Scofield.-

IF NOT NOW, THEN WHEN (© 2006)-
Snippet from a rock ballad on my new CD. The jangly guitars, percussive acoustic guitar in the background and Hammond B3 displays a vibe similar to the Wallflowers. The slide guitar, acoustic guitar and vocals give this somewhat of a country edge. The song builds up to a very soulful guitar solo at the end. |

ABSINTHE (© 2006)-
Also from my new CD, this one is a progressive rock tune. If you like the 90’s grunge band “ELEVEN” you will love this. Frank Fagnano’s haunting organ playing sets the tone and the non-traditional arrangement builds from nothing to a firestorm, never repeating the same section twice. The sound sample is of the guitar solo only (outro of tune). If you would like to hear the beginning of the track check out the sound sample on CD Baby. |

And
just for fun/posterity, here are 3 snippets of songs from my former
original alternative rock band called Mary's Magnet.
These three were recorded between the years 1995 and 1997. The instrumentation
is guitar, bass, drums and vocals. Lou Petto is on Drums, Tony Senatore
on Bass, I'm on guitar and James Hess is on lead vocals, excpet for
the Five Song which features Michael Moses on Vocals. I'm using my 1987
Sadowsky strat running through an early 70's Marshall Super Lead on
all 3 of these.
